Schwäbisch Gmünd Festival of European Church Music Festival

In and around the town of Schwäbisch Gmünd, the festival program features international concerts in medieval churches that date back centuries. From July 13 to August 5.

This year is a special year for Schwäbisch Gmünd: It is celebrating the 850-year anniversary of the city. The opening event is going to be Krzysztof Penderecki, who will conduct his great "Polish Requiem". This is the first time the British ensemble Tenebrae is taking part of the Schwäbisch Gmünd Festival, presenting several selected pieces of their vocal music repertoire.
