Sindelfingen: Schauwerk

Open since 2010, this edgy, contemporary museum in the town of Sindelfingen has taken Germany by storm.

Works of art here range from Italy and France to Asia and South America; artists include Antony Gormley and Anselm Kiefer, Imi Knoebel and Günther Uecker. This is all about minimalist art, conceptual art and concrete art, with painting and sculpture, as well as installations and contemporary photography. The outstanding collection of contemporary art has been put together by Peter Schaufler and his wife, Christiane Schaufler-Münch.
