Stromberg-Heuchelberg Nature Reserve

The Stromberg-Heuchelberg landscape is beautiful, a natural and peaceful “back yard” for nearby cities, such as Stuttgart, Heilbronn, Karlsruhe, and Pforzheim.

Think wine, well-being and woods. In this conservation area, the south-facing slopes produce excellent wines, such as Lemberger, Trollinger, Riesling, and Kerner. Nearby, orchards flourish with fruit and clean rivers flow through the pretty valleys dotted with villages and half-timbered houses. In the vineyards, you can relax over a glass of wine in one of the “Besen,” traditional wine taverns. The main cultural highlight is undoubtedly the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the 800-year-old Cistercian monastery in Maulbronn.
