Description
The Linzer Aach has dug itself 120 meters deep into the soft Molasse rock during the last ice age and formed an idyllic landscape. Gray alder riparian forest and Schluchtwald cover the slopes and rare plants and animals such as Aaron staff and kingfisher can be found here. At the exit of the Aachtobel is the pilgrimage chapel Maria im Stein with a history of more than 500 years. Numerous votive tablets testify to the belief in the help of the Blessed Mother.
One of the most beautiful hiking trails in the Bodensee-Linzgau holiday region opens up this original natural landscape.
