The Aichstruter Stausee is always worth a visit: four hectares of water, extensive sunbathing lawns, barbecue areas and camping facilities make it an excursion destination for the whole family.
Beschreibung
Almost three quarters of the lakeshore consists of sunbathing lawns. Trees provide shade, but there are also plenty of free spots on the sunbathing lawns for sun worshippers - and space for ball games. With its four hectares of water, the lake is large enough to arrive in your own rubber dinghy. At weekends, the DLRG guards the bathing beauties, who can choose to stay in the swimmers' area or the designated non-swimmers' area.
There are several barbecue areas around the lake for self-catering. If you don't want to enjoy the romance of a barbecue, you can eat at the self-service snack bar.
The lake is less suitable for walkers. Only about a quarter of the lake shore is accessible via a paved path, the rest is reserved for bathers as a sunbathing area. There are no pedal boats or rowing boats on the lake. Windsurfing is also only permitted outside the bathing season.
Would you like to spend several days at Lake Aichstrut? You can pitch your tent right next to the lake - sanitary facilities are provided. It goes without saying that you must register with the campsite management.
