In 1950, founder Helmut Frick began to create the first fish tanks here at this location. Ten years later, today's lakes were created together with friends. They have no artificial sealing, but only the exploitation of the clay layer above the karst rock of the Bauschlotter Platte is sufficient for sealing. In 2006, the restaurant was opened and since 2011, Thorsten Frick has been managing the entire facility in the third generation.
The two lakes are fed by a spring. Trout, carp, pike, perch, pikeperch, tench and many species of white fish can be found in them. You can fish here almost all year round. You can fish in two ways: by the kilo (you only pay for what you catch) in the small lake or with a day ticket (entitles you to fish with one rod) in the big lake. Only in summer we may have to prohibit fishing for a short period for nature conservation reasons.
Regional products are important to us, so we source as much as possible from the region, such as the potatoes for our hand-prepared potato salad from the Mack farm in Königsbach.
