It once served as the seat of the Prince-Bishops of Constance. From 1841 until her death in 1848, the poet Annette von Droste-Hülshoff spent many time at the castle. Visitors can choose from more than 30 furnished rooms that illustrate life in a castle. And from the Dagobert tower you can enjoy a wonderful view of Lake Constance. It is also the oldest inhabited castle in Germany.
