Historically accurate reconstruction of the Deutschhof started in 1950. It is now a cultural centre that houses the Heilbronn Municipal Museum and the City Archive in the Otto Rettenmaier House, as well as an adult education centre.
St. Peter and St. Paul is now the main church in Heilbronn for Catholics. The first Teutonic Order church was built here in the 13th Century. The tower chancel has Romanesque and early Gothic features in the outer area, and significant works of sacred art in the interior. Extensions were carried out in the Gothic and Renaissance periods, but the redesign during the Baroque period at the start of the 18th Century was the most significant.
