The Brenz flows as a river loop around the so-called "Buigen" mountain. But fascinating views, untouched nature, exciting traces of old castles as well as rock needles, some of which are steeped in legend, also captivate nature lovers and hikers. The beauty and unspoiltness of the valley as a whole, the magnificent juniper heaths and the inviting resting places offer the best opportunity to leave everyday life behind and lose oneself in this landscape.
Various circular hiking trails lead from the hiking car parks into the valley. And on the new castles and legends trail around Eselsburg, myths and figures from times long past come to life again. Names like Falkenstein, Hürgenstein and Bindstein, castles at lofty heights, immerse visitors in a world of their own, full of secrets.
The legendary "Stone Virgins" are a wonderful example of this sometimes gruesome world of legends.
