Since 2013, four simple white buildings have been forming a modern residential complex for 350 senior citizens. The design of the garden is related to the architecture on the side of the main entrance and greets with cut hedges, bands of shrubs and grasses, lawns and a tree grid made of ornamental cherries. It usually goes unnoticed that this is an intensive greening of the skillfully integrated underground car park of the property. The extensive greening of the roof areas (around 8,500 square meters) with sedum species remains hidden from walkers.
Three courtyards open to Lake Constance cite aspects of the surrounding cultural landscape: water, fruit trees and meadows. A meadow sown in autumn 2019 with local flowers and herbs forms the transition to the adjacent vineyards. It is complemented by a wooded border in which there are several protected habitats for lizards. A dead wood wall was created under the high population of old trees to provide a retreat and habitat for hedgehogs and hedge breeders such as the wren. These small biotopes are to be supplemented by others in order to help even more endangered animal and plant species to survive.
Since 2020 the "Seniorenresidenz Augustinum Meersburg" has been a member of the Association of Lake Constance Gardens and of the "Nature in the Garden" association. The still young plant will continue to develop. In addition to the existing sculptures “The Guardians” by the artist Helga Kreuzritter and the “Greyhound sculpture” by the artist Hans-Michael Kissel, further new acquisitions are to follow. The redesign of a courtyard area is already being planned.

A free car park allows two-hour parking with a parking disc directly in front of the Augustinum.
Reachability:
Coming from Stuttgart on the A98 (new B31) take the Uhldingen-Mühlhofen exit at the first crossroad to the left to Oberuhldingen. At the roundabout, take the first exit to Mühlhofen. Take the first exit at the roundabout towards Daisendorf. Shortly before the end of Daisendorf, turn left into Kurallee. After approx. 300 m you will reach the Augustinum Meersburg.
From Friedrichshafen on the B31, from Ravensburg on the B33 take the Meersburg exit. In the town center, turn right in the direction of the Meersburg / Daisendorf spa area. After the Daisendorf sign, turn right into Kurallee. After approx. 300 m you will reach the Augustinum.
The circular hiking trail S1 connects to the eastern edge of the property.
Bus stop:
From spring to autumn, the “City Bus 1” runs directly in front of the main entrance of the senior citizens' residence. The “Kurallee” stop (bus routes 7382 and 7383) is approx. 400 m away.
