The Hornisgrinde is the highest mountain in the Northern Black Forest (1.164 km).
Since 2014, it was named to be the first and only peak in the Black Forest National Park in the state of Baden-Württemberg. With its more than 100 year old spell forest all around the "Wildsee" and the high moor, it is one of the most precious juwels in the entire Black Forest.
