The tower is one of the oldest surviving buildings in the city. Its back is adorned by the modern art work the "Radbühne", which is a work of the Breisach artist Helmut Lutz from the year 2013. The tower itself ceeps a 41m deep drinking water inside of it well and offers the Kunstkreis Breisach regularly room for exhibitions of all kinds.
