The Kneipp facility at the
Merkur was built in 1932. It was completely renovated in 2018.
It is only a few steps away from the forest car park at the valley station of the Merkur Funicular Railway. Signposts lead from the car park to the Kneipp facility.
The water in the pool comes from a spring located about 1.5 km above the Kneipp facility in the forest.
Why Kneipp?
"Kneipp" is a form of hydrotherapy treatment according to Sebastian Kneipp. Treading water is supposed to activate the metabolism, stabilise the circulation and stimulate the immune system.
