Mahnmal memorial

Since 2003, the commemorative sculpture for the Jewish victims of the Nazi Holocaust has shaped the image of the Mannheim "Planken" shopping street in P2. Aligned with the centre of the square "Paradeplatz", the glass cube is unmissable and yet transparent. The surfaces of its sides bear the names of the 2,240 Mannheim victims. When it is dark, the cube is illuminated from the inside. In this way, the names of the victims are brought to light every evening as well.
