Two-towered Baroque cathedral (1744-1765) according to plans by the Munich master builder Johann Michael Fischer. Splendid ceiling painting, imaginative stucco ornamentation, beautiful choir stalls, altar of the cross with late Gothic image of grace, side chapels.
Visits to the choir room (all year round) only as part of guided tours of the cathedral.
Visits are not possible during church services.
During the summer months, Zwiefalten Minster is the venue for a small series of selected concerts focusing on sacred music.
