The only open-air stage in Mannheim is a real gem on the edge of the forest and regularly enchants the whole family with its children's theatre, musicals and concerts. Take your place on one of the 700 seats beneath the open sky and be carried away by the Frog Prince, the Seven Dwarfs or Hansel and Gretel. In the midst of an idyllic feel-good atmosphere, the shows are always a special experience. After the performance, you can spend a warm summer evening in the adjoining beer garden. When the weather gets colder, the ensemble ensures you can still enjoy their shows by moving into the "Zimmertheater" for the autumn and winter seasons.       Â
Top tip: Right nearby is the Käfertal forest where the "Karlstern" offers plenty of options for young and old alike. Having fun on the forest playground, marvelling at baby wild boar, bison and deer in the animal enclosure or enjoying a round of mini-golf. There's always something to do in the forest.
