The Rheinstrandbad Rappenwört is one of the most scenic beautiful and biggest pools in Germany. In addition to a wave pool and a diving pool, an adventure pool with a lot of water attractions offers fun and relaxation for every visitor.
The Rheinstrandbad’s spacious public lido and sports complex, which was planned back in 1924, is symmetrically aligned to the swimming pool, a crescent-shaped river pool off the Rhine with a sandy beach. The complex built by Robert Amann between 1928 and 1929 consists of a two-storey central restaurant flanked by two lower buildings housing changing rooms for ladies and gentlemen as well as indoor gymnastics facilities. The design, with its flat roofs, strip windows and smooth, rendered surfaces, is based on that of Dammerstock. The changing rooms even include exposed concrete. Many parts of the complex have been redesigned and further swimming pools added over the years.
