The Kaiserstuhl Garden Foundation maintains the seed garden and the fruit mueum with old fruit varieties. The primary purpose of the foundation is to promote plant breeding in order to preserve the diversity of cultivated plants in the Kaiserstuhl and Upper Rhine region.

The goals of the foundation are:
preserve, develop and use old and rare cultivated plants adapted to regional conditions;
collect and pass on knowledge about the cultivation, handling and use of these plants;
to establish new ways of marketing old cultivated varieties by using them.
In addition to cultivars, you will also find rarities and rare vegetable species in the show garden.
