The Society of Friends of Young Art Baden-Baden is dedicated to the mediation of contemporary art. It promotes contemporary artists, for example, by giving them the opportunity to exhibit and it allows all members free access to such exhibitions. In addition to regular exhibitions (usually six per year) the Societey plans events such as lectures, readings, artist talks and musical performances.

The Society of Friends of Young Artists e.V. is the art association in Baden-Baden. It was founded in 1955 by the director at that time of the Staatliche Kunsthalle, Dr. Dietrich Mahlow, the journalist Dr. Leopold Zahn and the artist Klaus-Jürgen Fischer.
In the founding year the Society had 75 members. Today (2019) there are 422, including 296 artists.
The members were recruited not only from the region but also from all over the Federal Republic of Germany and from neighboring countries, especially France and Switzerland.
