The ‘Platz der Grundrechte’ was laid in 2005 between the perimeter road called Zirkel and Schlossplatz (the palace square). Walking through the pedestrian zone, it can be found between Marktplatz and the palace. The square is dotted with 24 double-sided street signs, each describing an important aspect of right and wrong – complete with statements made by judges, lawyers and common citizens who have come into conflict with German law.
