Often described by experts as the X-ray image of the Swabian Alb, the Tiefenhöhle Laichingen is an absolute cave highlight for every visitor. No other cave shows the karstification of the Alb, the formation of floors and the rock structure more impressively. It is the deepest accessible show cave in Germany and allows visitors to descend safely to a depth of 55 metres on stairs and paths. The guide path is 320 metres long. In total, the complicated labyrinthine cave system with its passages, shafts and halls is about 1200 m long and up to 80 m deep.
