Embedded in the Kraichgau hills lies the village of Angelbachtal. It has a population of only 5,000, yet some renowned people were orn here, including the revolutionary Friedrich Hecker and the well-known Artist Jürgen Goertz, who lives and works in Angelbachtal. A walk through the idyllic park leads to the discovery of a variety of his sculptures, as well as some unusual plants. This is the venue for the Schlosspark Serenade, the much-loved Pfingstmarkt (Pentecost Market), and the annual visit of knights and Scots in national dress.
A variety of new footpaths have recently been laid, so that both young and old can enjoy walking and hiking. Another new feature is the nature trail, where families
or groups of friends can either compete against each other to complete the course, or just follow the various points of the trail.
