Neckarbischofsheim, with its districts Helmhof and Untergimpern, lies just between Kraichgau and Kleiner Odenwald. Its main landmark is a tower in the shape of a pentagon, which has been guarding the Local Heritage Museum since 1965. Explore the heart of the town, and you will find a romantic park surrounding the Old Castle which also includes a museum. Most of the time it is wonderfully peaceful and a great place to relax. At other times, visit the cultural festivals in the park, such as the Artisan Market, the Neon Illuminations’ and the Old Town Festival. The Knight’s Hall is also an idyllic wedding location. Another highlight is the historic Krebsbachtal railway linking the town to the Kleine Odenwald hill on the edge of the Odenwald region. The railway line is 17 km (11 miles) long and takes visitors through the most beautiful scenery. Neckarbischofsheim has numerous cycle tracks and footpaths as well as a variety of activities, some organised by local societies, making for an eventful holiday.
