Beschreibung
The glorious Black Forest countryside is ideal for exploring on foot, for example on one of the two "Schwarzwälder Genießerpfade" (trails for connoisseurs). The Auerhahnweg is one of the loveliest routes in the region. The 10.5 kilometre route runs through idyllic forests, offering impressive vistas and pleasant rest stop areas. The Burgenpfad (which is another "Schwarzwälder Genießerpfade") circumnavigates the Talstadt district of Schramberg, taking you past the castle ruins at Falkenstein and Hohenschramberg. A 12-kilometre sporty route through the wild and romantic Black Forest is another way to experience the variety on offer in Schramberg.
The town of Schramberg has been shaped by the Junghans business for around 150 years. And the company continues to achieve milestones in terms of development and design. At the same time, it has remained loyal to traditional handicraft. It is well worth visiting the Junghans Terassenbau Museum. Here you can walk through the history of Black Forest watchmaking. You can see the original 18th century watchmaking workshop. A high-tech timepiece offers a suitable contrast. Automaton clocks and musical clocks are also among the items on display.
But the thrilling journey through time does not end here. Because Schramberg has five other museums and a unique museum landscape. In close proximity, visitors will find the ErfinderZeiten museum (with its celebration of innovation), the Diesel and Railway museums plus the Steim automobile collection. And it isn't just technology enthusiasts who will be thrilled.
It's hard to imagine a more perfect place to take a break in the beautiful outdoors than at Park der Zeiten. These are the former mansion grounds belonging to the founder of the Junghans business, and they offer variety and relaxation. Hours can go by in an instant in these stimulating surroundings, which combine a natural idyll with culture.
