Visible from afar, the glass cube of the Stuttgart Museum of Art and its majestic neighbouring historic buildings have long since become famous landmarks of Stuttgart.
At night, this splendid work of architecture sets the stone core in its interior aglow, bathing its surroundings in light. In the cube and in two former traffic tunnels, an exhibition area of 5000 square meters displays collections of contemporary art and classic modernism. The Stuttgart Museum of Art presents internationally-renowned artists. It owns the most extensive collections of Willi Baumeister's oeuvre and an outstanding Otto Dix collection.
With the bar in the foyer and a rooftop restaurant with an amazing view of the city, the museum is a very popular meeting point for locals.
