Not yet 30 and already organist at Berlin's Gedächtniskirche: our musician today, Sebastian Heindl, was born in Gera, then trained as an organist as a member of Leipzig's Thomanerchor and finally graduated from Leipzig's Musikhochschule. Sounds like a lot of Bach? In fact, Heindl participated in John Elliot Gardiner's BBC documentary "Bach: A Passionate Life", apart from numerous organ recordings with the Thomanerchor. He also plays Bach today. But only briefly: then he plunges into a programme with the brass players of Brasssonanz that shows his heavy instrument from the light, virtuoso side. Be sure to come!
