With his extraordinary jazz project, musician and gala initiator Konstantin Kölmel presents an absolute highlight of jazz music. Star guest Nils Landgren will fire off a colourful firework of jazz and funk music together with Kölmel's formation. They will present works from the pen of Nils Landgren, but also some jazz classics will be heard in the theatre and will delight jazz fans as well as new jazz listeners.
The gala is being organised for the second time by committed young people between the ages of 18 and 25 from the Baden-Baden region, who support charitable causes in the region through the Leo Club. At their first gala in November 2021 in the round hall of the Kurhaus, they were already able to collect €12,000 for the good cause.
All profits from the concert will once again benefit four charitable causes, which will be briefly presented again during the evening. On the one hand, the Leo club's relief organisation supports children of disadvantaged families from the region with educational programmes as well as a children's hospital in South America (in cooperation with the local Leos). Furthermore, they aim to build a hybrid secondary school in Eastern Europe, but Nils Landgren's aid project "Funk for Life" for children in Africa is also supported.
