Like Prokofiev's "Romeo and Juliet", his "Cinderella" heightens the musical expression to operatic levels - but at the same time it is fairytale-like, cheeky and always tremendously inspired. The British choreographer Christopher Wheeldon has created a fairytale-like choreography for the Dutch National Ballet in Amsterdam, which goes back to the original fairytale version by the Brothers Grimm. It was further developed in Munich.
