Film music goes back to the overwhelming symphonic music of the beginning of the 20th century. So why not combine both in one concert? This is the concept with which the young Finnish conductor Tarmo Peltokoski introduces himself to the Baden-Baden audience. At the beginning, the title music to Hitchcock's "Vertigo" is heard. The American goosebump composer Bernard Herrmann went down in history with it. And what comes to mind when you hear the film title "2001 - A Space Odyssey"? Strauss's famous "Also sprach Zarathustra" motif!
