Symphonic jazz at its best in a classical concert: Daniil Trifonov, one of the world's most important pianists, plays music by George Gershwin. The Copland's "Fanfare", made world famous by the British band Emerson, Lake and Palmer, is a fitting accompaniment. At the end, the Israelite conductor Lahav Shani and his Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra will perform Tchaikovsky's popular sixth symphony, the "Pathetique".
