For many it is the opera of all operas! Without a doubt, Mozart and his librettist Da Ponte wrote a masterpiece of opera history with Don Giovanni. Tony Award winner Ivo van Hove presents a new interpretation of this tragicomedy, presenting the familiar story of deceit and damnation in an abstract architectural landscape, illuminating the dark corners of the story and its characters. Maestra Nathalie Stutzmann makes her Met debut and Peter Mattei is an almost magnetically appealing Don Giovanni.
