The Mercedes-Benz agent’s technological world has a maximum impact in space of just 44 square metres.
Until recently, Lichtentaler Strasse 14 was home to the ‘Schwarzwald-Bazar’ – something of an institution in Baden-Baden since 1885. This was the same year in which Carl Benz developed a two-seater vehicle with a single-cylinder, four-stroke engine. This year marked the beginning of the automobile’s success story. It is therefore perhaps no coincidence that Wackenhut took the baton at the end of November 2020 and is opening a lounge on these premises which are steeped in tradition.
The space of just 44 square metres caters to all the senses. The exquisite sound, the unmistakable atmospheric lighting and unique fragrances will come together in unison. The design and materials of the lounge cater to the sense of touch. Sophisticated surfaces and elegant design create an extraordinary ambience of sensuousness, beauty and something extra special. This being an experience centre, the authorised Mercedes-Benz agent’s technological world naturally has a major part to play here and can be experienced intelligently within a very small space. All the vehicles can be configured and the latest technologies can be interactively experienced. With the aid of 3-D glasses, a visit can even be paid virtually to the newly opened showroom in Baden-Baden Oos right from the heart of the city. As such, the contractual partner Wackenhut’s Mercedes-Benz Lounge is a brand experience that points far into the future. The lounge will also be home to ‘just explore Baden-Baden’. E-cars can be hired here to explore Baden-Baden and the environs and experience the area at its best.
Delightful details add an extra special flair too. Items which are reminiscent of Baden-Baden and the Black Forest will feature, with select works of regional artists with an international reputation being put on display. ‘We want to play our part in making Baden-Baden city centre vibrant and diverse,’ says a delighted Ernst-Jürgen Wackenhut. The Mercedes-Benz Lounge is to be a place of encounters. ‘It is important to us that we contribute positively to the community of retailers in the city centre and we hope we are well received and can establish partnerships,’ Wackenhut continues. Incidentally, the company Wackenhut GmbH & Co. KG has been a member of Baden-Baden’s city centre business association BBI e.V. for some time and is now located right there in the city centre itself. With its presentation store, Wackenhut wishes to enhance the traditional spa town with an extra special experience.
