The raftsman's house, which houses the Goldener Anker restaurant, was built in 1722. As the last remaining raftsman's house in the city of Pforzheim, it symbolizes the former economic importance of the Black Forest rafting.
The spacious guest room with its beautiful old wooden floor can seat 50 people. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer a magnificent view of the stone bridge and the Nagold River.
In the two adjoining rooms with 20-24 seats, celebrations can be organized, meetings and conferences can be held or club meetings can take place.
The Golden Anker restaurant also offers catering for events.
The Anker Q-LTUR Group has been organizing a cultural program in and around the Golden Anker since 2007. It includes, among other things, concerts, readings, panel discussions, initial lectures, walks, workshops and European cultural days.
The Golden Anchor is an restaurant and a learning center.
These are mostly young people who have not yet made the leap into training or work and who need a bit of professional guidance on their way to a self-determined and economically independent life.
They are guided by gastro-professionals and supported by social pedagogues.
The apprenticeship program is supported by the European Social Fund, the City of Pforzheim, the Pforzheim Job Center and the Employment Agency and is an institution of Q-PRINTS&SERVICE gGMBH.
