Description
Visit the municipalities of Wilhelmsdorf and Ostrach with their unique moorland landscape. Large parts of the reed have been under nature conservation since the 1930s to protect the numerous rare species of flora and fauna.
In addition to a permanent exhibition on the landscape and cultural history of the moor, the nature conservation centre also offers its visitors various special exhibitions.
A special environmental education programme is also offered for school classes. Families can borrow the research backpack to explore th reed on their own.
Experience the fascinating landscape of Pfrunger-Burgweiler reed, the second largest contiguous moorland area in southwest Germany with the nature conservation centre as its starting point. The reed nature trail and the various theme trails provide you with many special insights into natural history.
From the 38.8 m high Bannwald tower you can enjoy a breathtaking view over the reed landscape.
Guided tours:
