Directions
The route takes you from Wasserberg mountain through the picturesque Swabian Albtrauf Region to Grünenberg, an outlying farming settlement with a restaurant, and to Burren car park. The Burren (regionally also called “pin cushion“) offers you superb views of the three Kaiserberge (emperor-mountains), Wasserberg mountain and "Kaltes Feld" mountain plateau.
The Albtraufgänger route then carries on through the Upper Fils Valley passing Tennenberg mountain onto Kuchberg car park. It continues through the forest and passes Spitzenberg Ruin. Finally the walk leads you to the end of the stage Gingen an der Fils train station.
