Description
The climatic health resort Tennenbronn has an eventful history. It was not until 1922 that the once independent communities of "Protestant Tennenbronn" and "Catholic Tennenbronn" merged. Until today Tennenbronn has preserved the image of an idyllic Black Forest village. Many farmers offer farm vacations or sell Black Forest specialties and farm products. The local traditional inns offer excellent cuisine with regional products. The Black Forest landscape around Tennenbronn is an ideal area for hiking and biking.
A detour to Windkapf with the Gasthaus Deutscher Jäger is ideal for a rest.
The 1,000-year-old St. Nicholas Church in the Buchenberg district is dedicated to St. Nicholas. It is a popular destination for excursions. The uncovered frescoes on the walls, the old choir stalls and the altar room are what make it so special.
In Königsfeld invites the Doniswald,
also called squirrel forest, invites you to linger. An ideal place to find peace and relax. The Albert Schweitzer House in the former home of the Helene and Albert Schweitzer family is more than a museum - it is a forum for information and communication, a lively meeting place.
Along the route of the Höfe- und Mühlenwanderweg (farm and mill hiking trail), old Black Forest farms and mills are lined up one after the other. One enjoys the varied landscape and gets to know the history and nature in a particularly charming way.
