From Metzingen the tour takes you south to the pumped storage hydropower plant og Metzingen-Glems. Fantastic views of the erms Valley await, befor you make your way past the apple and cherry trees, that blossom in spring, towards Bad Urach.

Wegbeschreibung
The tour’s starting point is the “Noyon-Allee“ in Metzingen. Take the bikeway on the side of the road, cross “Ulmer Straße” and turn right into “Auchtenstraße”. Via a bridge you cross the B28. From there the route takes you for a little while into the forest, so take the left turn. Continue along the path until you reach a intersection, where you turn left. At the folowing intersection turn right. After a few left and right bends the way leads you to the pumped storage hydropower plant of Metzingen-Glems and its bottom catchment. Continue your way along the catchment lake until you get to power plant. Here take a left turn. Cross the mainroad, turn right and then left at the following intersections. Continue the route between the apple and cherry trees and the fantastic views the landscape has to offer. At the next intersection turn left and relax while the road takes you downhill to Metzingen-Glems. Follow the signs through the small town of Glems. Slightly downhill the route takes you towards Dettingen/Erms. Just befor Dettingen you cross the B28 again. At first chance take a turn right and another left at the end of the road. When you get to the train tracks turn right and take the underpath a few meters ahead. At the next intersection turn right into “Karlstraße” and left into “Milchgasse”. After you crossed the River Erms turn right into “Hülbener Straße”. Continue for a short distance on this road, until you reach the parking lot of the public pool of Dettingen/Erms. Here the route changes back onto a bikeway. Cross Gustav-Werner-Straße and turn right onto the way leading towards Bad Urach. Until there, the route continoues straight taking you through the beautiful scenery of the Erms Valley. Finally you reach Bad Urach. Take your time and visit the town centre, the Stiftskirche St. Amandus, and the castle. If you decide to skip the visit of the city centre, take the first left into “Eichhaldestraße”. At the top of Eichhaldestraße turn left twice into “Am Forst”. to your right hand side a playground appears and a little further the route takes you through the forest towards “Buchhalde” that is part of Dettingen/Erms. Once “Buchhalde” is passed, the bikeway leads back to Dettingen paralell to “Hülbener Straße”. Stay on the bikeway and turn right at the intersection of “Hülbener Straße” and “Sägmühlengasse”. “Sägmühlengasse” leads into “Am Hammerweg”, off which you take the road to the left. Follow it until you cross a main road and get onto “Kappshäuser Straße”. When you leave Dettingen, turn right, cross the main road to your left and continue west on “Kastanienweg”. At the next intersection turn left. After a slight right turn, take the second left alongside the vineyards of Neuhausen. After the building to your left,turn left. Then turn right and the next left into “Steinerweg”. Finnaly you reached Metzingen. turn left into “Lerchenstraße” and then right into “Heerstraße” that brings you back to “Noyon-Allee”.
