Description
In the Black Forest it is the largest, in Baden-Württemberg the most popular, in Germany one of the cleanest: the Schluchsee. Originally a glacial lake, today dammed with up to 108 million cubic meters of water, seven kilometers long and one and a half wide. With a lot of forest, meadows and a beautiful path around it. Instead of along the shore, we now go for a walk (1.9 km) in the flowery center. Look forward to seven blooming works of art that the garden center Lorenz and the community of Schluchsee have created for you. We hope you enjoy discovering our blossoming works of art.
Author's recommendation
Take a break in the nature park and just enjoy the silence.
Directions
Our trail leads from the station up in the place Schluchsee. After the peacock, we continue to the turnoff to the church square, in front of the Hotel Schiff. We cross the church square and go up on the Dresselbachweg. At the end of the path we turn left and follow the Dresselbacher Straße in the direction of the center, in front of the Hotel Sternen turn right and go up to the Protestant church. Here we come to the nature park. We cross it and arrive at a beautiful vantage point - the "Schiebefelse". Now it goes down to the Fischbacher Straße. Here we turn left and come to the town hall Schluchsee. After the town hall turn right into Eschenweg. At the end, the underpass leads us to the last work of art. From there it goes left back to the station.
