Description
Imposing high trunks dominate the image of the meadow orchards between Sasbach and Endingen in spring time. Of course, the hike through the Nordkaiserstuhl is also worthwhile in other seasons.
For the history-conscious, it should be noted that the trail runs parallel to old Celtic and Roman trade connections and settlements, remnants of which can be admired both on the Limberg and near Riegel. In addition, the Kirschbaumpfad leads you past the "Gestühl" vineyard near Leiselheim, which probably gave its name to the Kaiserstuhl.
