The Löwenpfad trail "Orchideenpfad" in Reichenbach im Täle is particularly suitable for nature lovers. Our certified quality Löwenpfad hiking trails take you through our beautiful Swabian landscapes with delightful panoramic views, fascinating nature, and mysterious places. With its sixteen loop trails with distances varying between 3 and 24 kilometres it provides routes for everyone.
Reichenbach Täle's Löwenpfad trail "Orchideenpfad" is a hiking loop trail certified by the German Hiking Association. The 9.3 kilometre tour starts between Reichenbach im Täle and Unterböhringen and leads directly to the Wasserberg-Haarberg conservation area. The path runs above the large and steep juniper heath up to the Haarberg with its wooden crucifix and a fantastic view. Many rare orchids can be found among the numerous animal and plant species that have developed here.
The trail continues through the forest and across open limestone meadows to the Wasserberghaus, where you can have a hearty Swabian meal and enjoy the distant view of the three Emperor Mountains and the Lower Fils valley. The trail will take you past Gairenhof past a conservation area. Benches invite you to rest in the most beautiful places. Before finishing the trail, you will come past an old fountain at the forest eaves with a karst spring. Lastly the possibility of another stop is given at the nearby pizza place at the marksmen’s club in Reichenbach im Täle.
