Description
The Löwenpfad trail "Staufer-Runde" in Göppingen is a hiking loop trail certified by the German Hiking Association. The approximately 11.2-kilometres tour starts at the hikers’ car park at the Wäscherschloss in Wäschenbeuren and focuses on the history of the Staufer family. The path runs through the mystical Beuten valley, past the imposing castle ruins on the top of the Hohenstaufen and past the rock formation "Spielburg" with great views and the Wäscherschloss.
Again and again you pass remnants of the Staufer history and can find out more about the strong and world-famous Staufer family in the museums in the Wäscherschloss and in Hohenstaufen near the Barbarossa church.
