Description
Today we make a detour to our neighbouring communities of Ketsch and Brühl, which we visit in that order.
Leaving the heart of the city, we first run the last part of route 2 (asparagus run) in the opposite direction, enjoy the idyllic avenue along Zähringer Straße including the moat at the edge of the castle gardens and then turn towards the country road in a south-westerly direction.
The fact that we can be on the road here at almost any time of day or night is thanks to excellent infrastructure measures along state and district roads. So far, so normal. A gift for all evening and night walkers, however, is the country lane between Ketsch and Brühl, which is completely equipped with lanterns and provides safety for pupils of the joint secondary school at all times of the year.
When we reach the end of our large arc back in Schwetzingen, we turn again in the opposite direction onto the route of the asparagus run and approach the Schlossplatz again via Kronenstrasse, Hebelstrasse and Schlossstrasse.
