Blooming valleys as far as the eye can see, wildly romantic waterfalls and outstanding plant diversity down to the depths of the Black Forest: the third stage leads to powerful places in the midst of nature.

Stage 3 begins at the Forellenhof in the Baden-Baden district of Oberbeuern. With its 14. 2 kilometres, this stage is not only the longest, but also the most original of the four sections. This hike is especially suitable on hot days, as it mostly leads through dark, shady forests. Past the „Kuchenberg“, the path takes you to the „Bußackerhütte“ (Bußacker hut), which invites you to take a leisurely break for a snack. The continuing path along the Geroldsau district is characterised by numerous valleys and little springs.
After crossing the “Übelsbachtal“ valley, past the „Schatzbühl“, you will reach sparse, pleasantly sloping meadows which, thanks to their altitude, offer a magnificent view of the „Grobbachtal“ valley.
The further course of the route runs along side of generous green areas, over the Grobbach Bridge to the dense forests of the Black Forest, and is constantly accompanied by the splashes of the Grobbach. If you continue to follow the flowing water, you will reach Baden-Baden’s natural highlight par excellence: the Geroldsauer Waterfall. Close by, In the middle of the woods you can discover a unique place for refreshment and rest,the cozy “Waldgaststätte Bütthof“.
The path on the opposite side of the Grobbach leads you further towards Malschbach. After the hikers' car park you cross the B500 and turn right into the small settlement towards „Schöllköpfle“, then continue to "Ibach". You are almost there - the destination of the third stage: the „Geroldsauer Mühle“. Within this impressive silver fir building you will find a farmer´s market with a large variety of regional products and a restaurant with a very diverse menu. This outstanding place will give you the opportunity to finish your exiting hike in a relaxed and stylish way.
