If you want to take the bus to the starting point, get off at the Waldlust bus stop. The hike begins at the car park at the Haus des Gastes in Tonbach.
From here the trail goes uphill to the Härlisberg at the edge of the forest. The hike continues to the right to the ev. Johanniskirche along the road at the edge of the forest towards Obere Sonnenhalde. Always follow the hiking signs towards Sonnenhalde and on to the Unterer Wiedenberg site. Once there, take a sharp left onto the forest path that is not marked as a hiking trail. This runs relatively level for about 1 kilometre. A short ascent follows. From here it is about 200 metres to the Plauderstüble car park. From there it is another 300 metres along the yellow rhombus in the hiking trail network to the Traube Tonbach log cabin. You've made the biggest stretch up to here – why not enjoy a leisurely stop!
After a light snack, you first walk back to the Plauderstüble car park. From there you walk on in the direction of Härlisberg-Brunnen and Härlisberg. Along the edge of the forest, the path leads you back to the starting point at the Haus des Gastes.
Enjoy a stop at the Blockhütte Traube Tonbach
