Hiking in the vineyards of Baden-Baden Rebland
Baden-Baden’s Rebland offers the perfect backdrop for hikes, with unrivalled views of the Rhine Valley and Black Forest.
Sun-drenched vineyards, woodlands and meadows, additional excursions to historical buildings such as the Yburg and Neuweier castles, and culinary delight just off the path combine hiking and enjoyment in a wonderful way.
This hike starts at the church in Neuweier. The route leads through "Altenbergstraße" to "Fatima Chapel" and continues through beautiful, diverse, deciduous forests up to the Yburg Castle. The tower offers an impressive view of the Rhine Valley and Black Forest, whilst the castle restaurant invites you to sit back and relax. On your way uphill to the castle you are rewarded with amazing views of extensive and far reaching vineyards. You will encounter and cross the "Rebland fitness trail" and "Ortenau wine trail", before reaching the starting point at the church. A rewarding treat after the hike most certainly is a stop at one of the charming restaurants and wine taverns in Neuweier.
