Heilbronn Country: the heart of SouthWest Germany

Heilbronn Country has something for everyone, from hiking and cycling to golf. Enjoy long walks along the Weinsberger Valley or through dense woods in Zabergäu, play golf at Schloss Liebenstein, take a bike ride along part of the Kocher-Jagst cycle trail. Think dreamy river valleys and vineyards, rolling hills and two glorious nature parks: Stromberg Heuchelberg and the Swabian-Franconian Forest.

Germany’s No 1 wine region

Heilbronn Country is the leading wine region in Germany, as well as the world’s No 1 producer of Lemberger, a red wine made from late-ripening grapes. The highlight of the year is the Heilbronn Wine Village, a wine festival held in the pretty town in September.

Rich in culture

There is so much to see, from castles and forts, such as Bad Rappenau, with its moat, to the Helfenberg ruins and Burg Talheim.
