In the cultural heart of Europe, you are guaranteed to find an event worth attending, whether you are visiting in winter or summer, spring or fall. The Stuttgart State Opera: always rated “excellent”
One of Germany’s most important opera houses, the Stuttgart State Opera has been voted “Opera House of the Year” six times, and “Opera Choir of the Year” seven times. No wonder they draw 250,000 visitors each season. And just as famous is the Stuttgart Ballet, carrying on the tradition set by the legendary choreographer John Cranko.
Baden-Baden: the amazing Festspielhaus
With 2,500 seats, Baden-Baden’s Festival Theater is the largest of its kind in Europe. Since opening in 1998, the city has hosted world-class opera and classical concerts. There are four seasons, so there is always a major cultural event when you visit.

Many are held in romantic and dramatic settings, from Heidelberg’s castle and Maulbronn’s monastery to Ludwigsburg’s baroque palace and the beautiful Black Forest.
