Spa, Beauty Treatments, Wellness

2,000 years ago the Romans discovered the healing properties of the 12 thermal springs in Baden-Baden and thereupon built the first thermal baths here. Today the healing thermal waters flow into the modern Caracalla Spa, which has plenty of room for healthy relaxation, with over 4,000 square metres of space. The historic "Friedrichsbad" offers an exclusive spa experience since 135 years, bringing together the culture of Roman baths and Irish tradition. Additionally Baden-Baden is also home to many spa and wellness hotels offering a wide variety of exclusive, individually tailored treatments.

Art & Culture

The "Festspielhaus", Germany’s largest opera and concert hall, is a cultural treat with international reputation. It is famed for its unique acoustics and the top events that it hosts all year round.
The Museum Frieder Burda, built by New York star architect, Richard Meier, is the jewel in the crown at the heart of "Lichtentaler Allee", a splendid area of parks and gardens. The Staatliche Kunsthalle, which is linked to the Museum Frieder Burda by a glass bridge, shows international contemporary art. It is an excellent place to take in the visual arts, from the avant-garde to the present.
The Fabergé Museum – the first and only museum of its kind in the world – shows with over 700 exhibits the wide range of work by Carl Fabergé whose Fabergé eggs acquire worldwide recognition.
The traditional Kurhaus Baden-Baden is still the social hub of the town, hosting glamorous balls and stylish events throughout the year. Formerly known as the "Konservationshaus", it also houses the world-famous Casino Baden-Baden, dubbed the "most beautiful casino in the world" by Marlene Dietrich, which invites visitors from around the world to try their luck at classic games like roulette, blackjack, or poker.
