The idea for the construction of this fountain came spontaneously to the members of the association. However, it was so well received that shortly afterwards it was put into practice. Everyone helped as much as they could. Only half a year later, the well could already be inaugurated. The money was raised through donations and festivities. The rest was done by the members themselves.
The fountain even has its own poem, written by Klaus Schnäbele. Since then, the community has celebrated the annual fountain festival "Around the Arlinger Fountain". It is one of the first festivals in the district. The proceeds from the festival go towards the maintenance, care and cleaning of the fountain and the adjacent flowerbeds.
The sculpture of the fountain forms a figure of a girl and a boy facing each other, holding hands and dancing in a circle. The children look cheerful and convey a carefree and happy atmosphere.
