In the center of the fountain, a beech tree and a transverse horn stand for the past Buchhorn. Interlocking cogwheels, a propeller and an engine allude to the technical industries anchored in the town: Maybach engine construction, the cogwheel factory and the Dornier works. A Zeppelin with an enlarged face represents the two key personalities behind Friedrichshafen's economic boom: Count Zeppelin and King Friedrich I of Württemberg. There is also a pair of houses representing the artist couple Rumpf, who made the fountain, and finally a rabbit for the Sea Rabbit Festival.
